TUBE AMPLIFIER REPAIR​

Repair Process:  Defective components shall be replaced.  All filter and paper capacitors shall be replaced.  Coupling capacitors shall be replaced with high quality units, or with customer preference.  Paper capacitors which test good can be left in circuit if requested.  Out of tolerance resistors shall be replaced.  All tubes will be tested for Emissions and Leakage (shorts). Tubes which test bad shall be replaced. Output tubes can be matched if requested.  All operational issues (such as noise, hum, distortion, volume fluctuation, intermittent operation, etc.) shall be troubleshooted and resolved.  Bias shall be set if required.  Audio circuits shall be balanced if required.  Amp shall be bench tested to assure proper operation and sound quality.

Circuit modifications will be considered on a case by case basis.

Repair of tube amplifiers with printed circuit boards shall be considered on a case by case basis.

Note:  I do not repair solid state (transistor) amplifiers.
